Apparently, there's another Twitter boycott

http://www.conversationalmediamarketing.com/2008/07/twitter-boycott.html I didn't know about it until I got a pingback from my Twit-Out post. Looks like their goals are different from what ours were. They want to send a message to Twitter. Since I left Twitter a few weeks ago, I guess it doesn't matter from my point of view. We'll see.

Open sourced double edged sword

The problem with putting the source out there, is all the smart minds tend to think their way is the best way. They end up with several variants of the same idea. It dilutes the experience. See: Linux.

In a way I'm happy a new Twitter distraction is out there so people can stop comparing Twitter to FriendFeed. Hopefully, the "turn FriendFeed into Twitter" movement will subside.
