Feeling Blogalicious

Just got one fairly large blog post done and two more brewing.  Something about Sunday that makes me want to blog.  I'm getting help from FriendFeed on one of them, and the other I still need to organize thoughts.  I may draft it and push it to next week.  Happy SunBlogDay!

Gators Have To Win Without Percy Harvin

Percy Harvin has been the Florida Gators' anchor in terms of consistency and play-making.  While the team is filled with young talent, Harvin has always been the go-to guy.  Today against Alabama, Harvin is nursing a sprained ankle sustained during the FSU game last weekend.  The Gators have a formiddable opponent in Alabama.  While I still believe they can win, with Harvin, it would have been a total domination.  Now it may be a scruffle which could favor Alabama's style.  At any rate, I'll be watching the game today at 4PM EST.  GO GATORS!!

November is here. College Football Madness Begins

Florida Gators beat down Georgia 49 - 10, and Texas Tech upsets #1 Texas, 39 - 33.  Alabama is expected to be #1, Penn State #2, and Texas Tech #3.  I think Florida should be in the top 5, but I got a feeling they're going to sneak USC in there and push Florida out.  We'll see.

Any way, November is here, and every week is going to be crazy just like this.  I love football. :)

Power Conservation at Casa de McCall

My wife and I got our power bill and thankfully, for the last month of the summer, we cut our power bill in half. It took some sacrifice but we are used to it now. The fall and winter months should be easier to manage than the summer months but with rising energy costs, we may sacrifice more to break even.

Arrogant Gators Get Their Medicine

I caught the most of the second half of the Florida/Ole Miss game yesterday.  We all know turnovers are killer, but you know what's worse?  Throwing two bombs to the endzone on 1st and 2nd downs of a last minute drive, then deciding to run an option on 3rd and long.  Guess what's coming after that folks... A QUARTERBACK SNEAK!!!  Congratulations to Ole Miss who out-coached an overconfident Gator team.

I'm a disappointed fan.  Now I'll have to hope Alabama can run the table and truly represent the SEC in the Championsihp game.  They really have a powerhouse under Nick Saban.

T-Mobile G1: The slider action is like butter (LOL)

Are we reaching Engadget?  The keyboard seems usable?  The slider action "is like butter"?  Come on guys, stop trying so hard to like it.  Be honest.

USC the best?

Well if they're not the best college team today, I don't know who is.  Given they just beat a decent Ohio State team like a stepchild in front of millions, I would say they are a force to be reckoned with.  Looking at their schedule, I don't see anyone who can touch them.  They may just cruise to the National Title game.  We'll see.

Outside of Hannah's Cone

For the moment, we're outside the cone of Hannah (Jacksonville, FL).  This storm is weird.  It stopped, then started moving backwards, then stopped, now it's finally going north.  I'll be watching the track closely.
